New General Manager of Resource Markets

Katherine has a background in energy and resources policy going back to her time in the UK civil service where she was Deputy Head of renewable energy and strategy in the Department of Energy and Climate Change. Prior to that, Katherine worked on electricity transmission and a range of economic and environmental policy roles in the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, UK Trade and Investment, and Department of Trade and Industry.

While also supporting Katherine to transition into her new role, Bruce Parkes will still be at the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE), acting as Deputy Secretary - Labour, Science and Enterprise.
